THE MILKMAN COMETH: PETEY USA’S NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO, “THE MILKMAN,” OUT NOW
U.S. Tour With Medium Build Begins April 28
Petey USA Will Open For Zach Bryan On August 30 At West Virginia’s Joan C. Edwards Stadium
Everyday life continues to provide a springboard into the depths of the psyche for Petey USA in his new single, “The Milkman” (Capitol Records). A freewheeling track with the sobering refrain “This is what it feels like to not feel anything,” “The Milkman” has been hailed as the “song of the summer” by his followers ever since he teased it on social media. Penned by Petey USA, the track was produced by Chris Walla, the creative force behind Death Cab for Cutie. Listen HERE.
In the accompanying video, directed by Richard Phillip Smith, the nostalgic figure of the milkman casts a shadow over Petey USA’s life. As in many of his comedic skits (which have amassed over 500 million combined views and earned praise from The New Yorker), Petey USA plays himself and the other characters, too – his wife, his son and the milkman. View the video HERE. For the backstory on the milkman, check out this clip.
Petey USA will kick off a tour with Medium Build on April 28 at Richmond Music Hall in Richmond, VA. See below for itinerary. Tickets are available HERE. As announced earlier this week, he will open for Zach Bryan on August 30 at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, WV. This comes after Bryan asked Petey USA to join him onstage during his show at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena last year. He’ll also support Rainbow Kitten Surprise on several East Coast dates this summer.
“The Milkman” is from Petey USA’s forthcoming album, like his early 2025 single, “Model Train Town,” which UPROXX praised as “introspective [and] angsty.” Listen to “Model Train Town” HERE and view the accompanying video HERE.
Naming his 2023 album USA as “one of the most stirring rock releases of the year,” Paste observed, “Petey has cemented himself as a powerful presence in contemporary rock ‘n’ roll.” Ones To Watch called USA “an indie rock masterpiece….fully intentional and genuine in every musical and storytelling aspect.” Alternative Press marveled, “Petey has cracked the algorithmic code by creating his own world of cathartic abstract art guided by self-confidence, kismet, and above, all, good vibes.”
