Back at the El Club for another round of Blondshell. If you remember, we've been following her for a while, all the way from when she opened for Suki Waterhouse to when she opened for Liz Phair. Now, she is on her own, which brings us back to the start of our first time seeing her, for an intimate night.
The night started with opener Shes Green. This was going to be their last show with Blondshell. Ending on a somber note, fans were begging for more. Then it was time for Blondshell to kick the night into high gear. She started the night with. 23’s a Baby, Toy, and Docket—no intro, just straight in it. Of course, the night's focus was on her latest album, Another Picture, but it doesn’t mean it wasn’t the only thing the fans got to hear live. There was also time for a little cover, which, in this case, was Diet Pepsi—ending the night with Event of a Fire and Salad. From fans of Liz to Suki, there was something for everyone that night. If you haven't bought your tickets yet, don't miss out.
More about Another Picture
Another Picture leads with a new single from Blondshell, “Berlin TV Tower.” The track showcases Teitelbaum as one of the most vital voices in rock music today. Set against various European backdrops (beaches in Normandy, Berlin) it captures something quietly radical: being alone and feeling okay with it. Musically, it’s classic loud-quiet-loud Blondshell, a slow build from hushed intimacy to a soaring, grunge-soaked chorus, culminating in one of the most triumphant guitar solos she’s ever put to record. She elaborates:
“This is the fastest song I’ve ever written. I was in Berlin and I love that city so much. I was walking around and just writing things down that I saw. It’s a little bit about the city but mostly it’s about being alone and being okay with that for once. Also, I love the idea that you can start and stop and restart things whenever you want… in that way I guess it’s really just a song about having agency.”

Blondshell announced Another Picture last month with the harmony-laden “Arms (feat. Gigi Perez),” a powerful-yet-delicate acoustic version of one of Blondshell’s heaviest songs. The two recently discussed their friendship and duet on The Zane Lowe Show.
After a summer of playing sold-out shows and festivals around the world, Blondshell is back on the road for a run of dates in the U.S., which conclude on November 22. Blondshell will receive support on this leg from she’s green, Colatura, and The Sonder Bombs. Next year will see her Coachella debut and a return to Australia.
