October 24, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) – Unapologetic alt-pop songstress KiNG MALA has returned with her new single “EAT THE SPOON”. Layering jagged synths over an unsettling pulse, the brooding track delves into the consuming nature of desire and the lengths we'll go to satisfy it. “EAT THE SPOON” marks KiNG MALA’s first new single following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album And You Who Drowned In The Grief Of A Golden Thing earlier this year. KiNG MALA has also unveiled a stunning, cinematic Official Visualizer for the track.

“‘EAT THE SPOON’ is about the bottomless pit of desire at the heart of my album’s protagonist: the force that sets the entire story in motion,” shares KiNG MALA. “I drew inspiration from my favorite film, The VVitch, when Thomasin sells her soul and finally says out loud what she truly wants. The song explores desire and its consequences, but more than anything, it gives permission to want, and I mean really WANT.”
Next month, KiNG MALA will embark on The Devotion Tour of North America. The 12-city headline trek will kick off on November 28 in Portland, OR, visit major markets coast-to-coast, and wrap on December 14 in Washington, DC. Dezi will provide support. Tickets for all dates are on sale now HERE. Full routing can be found below.
Highlighted by singles “GØD,” “FUN!,” and “DEVOTION,” KiNG MALA’s debut album And You Who Drowned In The Grief Of A Golden Thing was released in May and is available to stream and download HERE via Handwritten Records. The album is a thrilling cinematic fever dream that dives into desire vs. obsession, humanity vs. monstrousness – and the consequences of the push/pull. Following the release of the album, KiNG MALA supported Lights on her 19-city A(Live) Again North American Tour.
