New York, NY (October 21, 2025) – Weakened Friends recently released their vibrant and unapologetic new album Feels Like Hell via Don Giovanni and are currently out on a national tour in partnership with The Ally Coalition (TAC), the nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth through music. Today, the band announces a 2026 West Coast run that will continue their support, with $1 from every ticket sold benefiting The Ally Coalition. West Coast dates will be on-sale this Friday, October 24 at 10am local time and 2025 dates are on sale now -- tickets HERE.
Weakened Friends have earned acclaim from The New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR Music, Stereogum, Under The Radar, FLOOD, and Brooklyn Vegan, among others. The band's story plays out a bit like lFleetwood Mac’s—minus the cocaine, plus a dose of multivitamins. Vocalist Sonia Sturino is now married to bassist Annie Hoffman, who was previously in a relationship with drummer Adam Hand. The trio has since transformed that shared history into creative chemistry, channeling it all into their bold and deeply human new album.
Leading to the release of Feels Like Hell, the band has shared a string of standout singles, including "Smoke and Mirrors," "Nosebleed," "NPC (feat. Buckethead)", and the album's explosive opener “Tough Luck (Bleed Me Out)”, as well as fan favorite cover of “Torn.”
At a time when numbness prevails and singers whisper apathy rather than scream their feelings, Feels Like Hell offers a compelling antidote. Sonia sings about everything threatening to kill the spirit—deep nihilism in the face of global capitalism—with the kind of spirit that can’t be killed. Sonia’s vocals imagine better worlds, ones free of restraint or surveillance. There’s no self-censorship here—Sonia isn’t afraid to scream until their throat is raw, and Annie isn’t afraid to groove through the apocalypse. Leaning into rock and post-pop-punk with heart and reverence, they perform with a freedom many feel bereft of today.
Grounded in love, Weakened Friends make music to soundtrack the movie of your life—whether screaming along in the car with friends, serenading your cat, falling in love, getting married, or starting a band.
