OCTOBER 2025—Following the release of their acclaimed debut album SUDDEN LIGHT, Lisbon-based duo MXGPU—the collaborative project of Moullinex and GPU Panic—today unveils Live Over Lisbon, a 45-minute cinematic live concert film directed by André Tentúgal, premiering tonight on YouTube at 8:00 PM Lisbon time (3:00 PM ET).
Suspended high above the Tejo River on a floating stage lifted by PODEROSA, a 40-meter-tall vintage port crane from the 1980s, the performance took place in front of MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology) and beneath the 25 de Abril Bridge. Filmed at sunrise under hurricane warnings, the concert nearly didn’t happen—but what emerged is a striking document of resilience and artistry, with Lisbon’s horizon as both backdrop and stage.
Performed and recorded fully live (with no playback or overdubs), Live Over Lisbon reimagines material from SUDDEN LIGHT, including fan favorites “Take Me Home (Live)” and “Into Flames (Live)”, alongside two unreleased reworks, “See Me Burn” and “Luz.” The result is a meditative, gravity-defying reflection on MXGPU’s central themes: vulnerability, transformation, and transcendence through connection.

“After SUDDEN LIGHT, we wanted to explore how far we could push the feeling of limitlessness,” says MXGPU. “Performing above the river at sunrise felt like dissolving into the elements—the city, the sky, and the sound all becoming one.”
Directed by André Tentúgal, known for his cinematic storytelling in music, Live Over Lisbon continues MXGPU’s mission to blur boundaries between performance, architecture, and natural landscape—capturing a singular moment suspended between storm and stillness.
The film marks the latest chapter in the SUDDEN LIGHT project, following the duo’s 360° album release performance in Lisbon, London, and New York this Oct 25th.
