Today, GRAMMY®-nominated, chart-topping artist Chris Lake premieres the long-awaited “In The Yuma” ft. Aatig (Cloonee’s At The Sahara Remix) via Black Book Records/Astralwerks — listen here. First revealed during Cloonee’s crowd-thrilling debut at Coachella’s Sahara Tent in April, the mind-bending remix appears on Black Book ID’s: Chapter 8 — a stacked compilation featuring hotly anticipated IDs from artists across the globe, out today via Black Book Records. A track with a truly iconic backstory, “In The Yuma” was first created by Lake live on Twitch during a mid-pandemic production session for Amazon Music via #TogetherAtHome, with the British producer/DJ drawing inspiration from his performance in the Yuma Tent at Coachella 2019. Before making his Coachella debut earlier this year, Cloonee dreamed up his own explosive version of “In The Yuma,” specially created for the legendary Sahara Tent (the festival’s largest production outside of the main stage). The result: an undeniable floor-filler showcasing Cloonee’s transcendent brand of tech house, matching the original’s pounding piano lines and hypnotic vocal hook with shapeshifting textures and an exhilarating constellation of beats.
“In The Yuma” ft. Aatig (Cloonee’s At The Sahara Remix) serves as the opening track to Black Book ID’s: Chapter 8 — the eighth installment of the acclaimed IDs compilation from Black Book Records, a pioneering record label founded by Lake in 2016. With a globe-spanning lineup of artists, Black Book ID’s: Chapter 8 also features cuts from Bangladeshi producer Banglaboy, Brazilian up-and-comers Pedroz and Trallez, Scottish DJ/producer Alex Culross, and Miami-bass powerhouse Coffintexts.
One of house music’s most dynamic artists, Lake recently turned heads with “Summertime Blues”: a wildly joyful collaboration with UK-based DJ/producer Sammy Virji, featuring Nathan Nicholson. A UK-born and Los Angeles-based artist who previously collaborated with Lake on the 2022 single “Nightmares,” Cloonee is still riding high off his smash hit “Sippin’ Yak” (Hellbent Records/Astralwerks). After teasers of the ID went viral (reaching over 30 million combined views across social platforms), the massively catchy track premiered in March and notched Cloonee’s first-ever entry on the Billboard chart — a feat that included debuting at No. 25 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and at No. 6 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales. In addition, “Sippin’ Yak” landed on Rolling Stone’s “All the Songs You Need to Know This Week.”
