Today, JUNO Award-nominated alternative artist Ruby Waters shares her highly anticipated debut full-length album 'What’s The Point'. This new release is a quintessential piece of work Ruby has dedicated hours and hours cultivating with the help of her long-time producer, Sam Jackson Willows. Following the success of her pre-release singles, which have already captivated audiences and critics alike, ‘What's The Point’ is set to make a significant impact on the alternative music scene. The record comes ahead of Ruby’s Headline UK/EU Tour, which begins on the 4th June in Birmingham. ‘What’s The Point’ is available now on all streaming platforms via Wet Records Inc.

Expressing what the album means to her, Ruby shares; "This album is really allowing me to grow and shed some old skin- I hope it does the same for others,” shares Waters. “The title What’s The Point is just a reminder that we’re constantly on a tightrope between the two opposing sides of life, having meaning or having no meaning at all. I think it’s okay to walk towards different sides of that tightrope day to day, and I think it’s good to remember that two things can be true at once. I hope this album feels like a big comforting hug to whoever needs one!"

‘What's The Point’ marks a significant milestone in Ruby Waters' blossoming career. Known for her raw and authentic musical style, Waters' debut album showcases her ability to blend compelling lyrics with dynamic soundscapes.

The album places the listener in the passenger seat of Ruby’s life, allowing for the visceral experience of all that Ruby is- good times, sex, rock n roll, car rides, and everything in between. With a sound that is both bold and powerful, this album is a testament to Waters' passion, vibrancy, and relatable insight.

As Ruby is an artist who champions a liberated and empowered mentality, it is clear that within this body of work, these values permeate Ruby's music and in the response to the singles released so far, shows how they're essential for fostering authenticity and connection with listeners today.

Having already gained early support in press and playlisting with pre-released singles 'Adult Swim', 'Bucket' & 'Sour Patch', Ruby has been building great momentum leading up the album's release, and with the full body of work she aims to further solidify her position in the alternative scene.

The Line of Best Fit - "Adult Swim" stamps itself as a relative and representative romp for the zeitgeist.”

The Rodeo - “Ruby Waters’ vocals immediately captivate on ‘Adult Swim’, standing out in the forefront of the track from the get-go, as she issues the commanding instruction, ‘Come over for a swim inside me…”

When The Horn Blows - “An overpowering sensation brims up from under the surface in “Sour Patch,” imbued with Waters’ husky vocals and dirty guitar, rumbling bass, and hard-hitting drums”

The album features a collection of tracks that are both sonically and emotionally rich. From the high-energy alt-inspired anthems to the introspective, stripped-back tracks, each song highlights Waters' exceptional talent and versatility as an artist.

In tandem with the release of her album, Ruby has been gearing up for her headline tour across Europe, set to kick off in Birmingham this June, followed closely by a much-anticipated show at Omeara in London. Ruby also recently announced her headline North American tour, throughout the months of September, October and November. Tickets for these electrifying performances are available for purchase now.
