[Los Angeles, CA] - May 31st, 2024 - International singer, model, actor, and multi-lingual artist Anna Aya is poised to become the first global princess of J-Pop with the highly anticipated release of her second bilingual single, "Hit Me With Your
Love," available now. The release of "Hit Me With Your Love" follows the monumental success of Anna's debut single, "Someone Else," which skyrocketed to #47 on the Top 50 Pop Radio Charts. "Anna is redefining what it means to be a multilingual artist in today's global music scene," praised Flaunt Magazine, highlighting her innovative approach to blending languages and cultures in her music.
Written by GRAMMY® Award nominated multi-platinum producer Louis Bell (Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Halsey) and Michael Africk (Mai Kuraki, ZARD, Jordan Knight), who together have sold over 150 million units between them; "Hit Me With Your Love" is an undeniable hit by an undeniable artist. The song explores themes of infatuation and empowerment, with its English and Japanese lyrics Anna's powerful vocals and magnetic presence shine through every verse. “Hit Me With Your Love” embodies the strength of a woman who knows what she’s worth. Anna elaborates “Your actions speak louder than words. You think you're worth my time? You want me in your life? Show me what you’re all about!"
Prior to this release, Anna's debut single solidified her as a rising star in the global music landscape. Released via Handcraft Entertainment and distributed by Virgin Music globally (with the exception of Japan), "Someone Else” has garnered nearly half a million views on YouTube and ignited a viral sensation on TikTok upon release late last year. With J-Pop experiencing a surge in popularity, Anna Aya's arrival marks an exciting moment in music history. According to Billboard, “In terms of growth rate, World music — which also includes J-pop, or Japanese pop, and Afrobeats — topped all other genres with a 26.2% increase in U.S. on-demand audio streams to 5.7 billion.” A few weeks prior to the release of "Hit Me With Your Love," Handcraft Entertainment and Tokyo based B ZONE, Inc. announced their partnership along with the signing of Anna Aya. This collaboration resulted in the Japanese release of Anna’s debut single "Someone Else” through B ZONE on February 14th, backed by broadcast at over 420 major retailers and commitments from major Japanese airplay and television outlets. Additionally, the video for “Someone Else” will be featured on the Vision Screen Billboard at the Shibuya Miyamasuzaka intersection in Tokyo, and Anna has earned the “Outstanding Newcomer” at Nippon Broadcasting System and “Hot Pick” at InterFM Japan. Splitting her time between Japan and Los Angeles, Anna has appeared in top-tier Japanese magazines, modeling for some of the most influential fashion houses in the world, including Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton.
