Eloise Viola has released her brand new single,’ Lifetime, ' the latest song from her forthcoming debut album, Glasshouse, which is out May 10th.
‘Lifetime’ is a contrasting upbeat song about heartbreak that pulsates with flamenco rhythms. Lush acoustic guitar plucks among atmospheric strings, forming a danceable ballad to which Eloise’s stunning vocals soar throughout.
Regarding the single Eloise says,“‘Lifetime’ tells the story of a relationship ending and it blindsiding me. The song opens with the aftermath of that. The feeling of anger, hurt and ‘unfairness’. But slowly (very slowly!) as I healed, I processed what had happened and I realised that it was always going to end. I thought we could have gone on for a Lifetime and that a lack of love wasn’t really the problem. What love there was kept holding us together when we deserved more, and so we took it. I feel like the song has a bittersweet feeling of resolution, like the end of a sad book that you love!”
Eloise Viola’s forthcoming debut album, Glasshouse, is a passionate pop record from the London-based singer, songwriter, and vocal powerhouse. It shares her messages of self-love, self-empowerment, and hard-won independent strength.
‘Lifetime’ follows the release of ‘Delicate’, ‘Listen’ and ‘Electricity’, which have all been taken from the upcoming album. The latter song has proved a widespread hit achieving strong radio support including BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing on Radio 1, as well as multiple plays across Latin America, while also topping the fan voted chart at EDM Radio Spain for five months.
BBC Introducing continue to be a strong advocate for Eloise ahead of the album, having supported the previously released song ‘Delicate’ as their ‘Track Of The Day’, they have now invited her to complete a live session airing the day before the album release.
Glasshousehas been written and created in LA, Nashville and London, and its thirteen songs – influenced by the likes of Robyn, Griff, Becky Hill and Holly Humberstone – chart Eloise Viola's journey from battles with body issues, mental health and loss of confidence, through to the strong, powerful woman she is today, keen to pass on what she's learned along the way.
The release ofGlasshousewill also be accompanied by a multi-episode podcastGlasshouse: Laid Bare, allowing Eloise to explore the themes on the album in-depth for her fans. In this documentary style podcast, Eloise shares the unfiltered stories behind how these songs marked her lowest points, and the lessons that lifted her onto a path to healing, self-empowerment, and self-love. It’s heart-warming, insightful and you can laugh along with her honest recollection of the ups and downs of her personal life and career.
Eloise will be celebrating the release of the album with a special album launch show ahead of release at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on May 2nd. The show promises to be an intimate immersive experience for fans who will hear tracks fromGlasshousefor the first time, all performed live with Eloise’s full band, among a further sensory experience delving deep into the empowering themes of the record.
