Today, rising London-based pop star Ruby Duff brings a welcomed new sound to the scene with her bold new single ‘Undressed’. On this new release, Ruby nods towards Killing Eve describing it as “more of a religion or empowering movement”. Speaking on the makeup of her new single, Ruby emphasises that “Undressed" is not merely a superficial concept, but rather a metaphorical shedding of a mask and a release of introversion. It’s more of an obsession, a religion, and an empowering movement. Influenced heavily by movies and theater, I wanted to create a chaotic pop track that encompassed all of my influences into one artistic vision…being ‘Undressed’.”
With a diverse collection of tracks thus far, Ruby continues to surprise us with Undressed, which takes listeners on a captivating theatrical parade through genres, artistic visions and thought-provoking lyrics that promote the often overlooked theme of self-confidence. It wouldn’t be surprising to hear this captivating and chaotic infectious earworm in a thrilling cinematic experience, but for now, you can keep Undressed close to your heart, or at least until Ruby Duff gifts us with another of the wall piece of art.
This alt-pop queen in the making has released a plethora of elevated pop music since her emergence onto the scene in 2019, which has since continued to spotlight her ever-evolving eclectic style that draws from trends past and present.
