March 1, 2024 (Los Angeles, CA) – Today, Nashville folk-rock darlings Judah & the Lion (Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald) release their latest track “Great Decisions.” The perfect anthem to indulge your inner brat (oh sorry – child), “Great Decisions” drips with lyrical sass that you’ll be happy to sing along to imagining the misery of an ex. The video follows Judah and Brian's mischievous escapades proving perhaps there is beauty in the chaos.

About the track, Judah shares "Great Decisions is our sarcastic way of exploring thoughts evoked from anger. Everyone makes decisions that end up hurting others, and in the end, we all have to live with our great decisions, and figure out how to move forward."
The duo recently announced their fifth studio album The Process, which is set to release on May 10 via Cletus the Van / Downtown Artist & Label Services. Featuring 19 tracks, the soul-baring project seeks to find beauty in the pain as it goes through the five stages of grief – Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Paired alongside this announcement was their transformative single titled “Is What It Is,” a direct quote from Peter Crone, a thought leader in human potential and performance. Pre-order the album HERE and listen to “Is What it Is” HERE.
Judah & the Lion are also set to hit the road this spring. The extensive North American tour will start off at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte and will have pivotal stops at Colorado’s Red Rocks and Pier 17 Rooftop in NYC. Tickets available HERE.
After the recording of Revival in 2022, singer-songwriter Akers knew he needed a creative shift while heavily struggling in his personal life. Finally deciding to write about his heartbreak, Akers and Macdonald – both sons of therapists – immediately thought of groundbreaking psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’ five stages of grief concept. Judah explains, “It gave us a way to embody the tough and sometimes really negative emotions that I deal with in songs, but within a larger framework of empathy, forgiveness and hope.”
As they began releasing new material from The Process last year, the band began racking up streams and have now reached nearly five million combined global streams to date. Not to mention earning spots earned spots on numerous playlists across all DSPs, including Spotify’s New Music Friday, Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Amazon Music’s Alternative Hits and Best of Rock 2023. Singles “Son of a Gun” (feat. K. Flay) received praise from idobi (“the ideal late-fall track”) and “Leave It Better Than You Found It” (feat. Ruston Kelly) from V Magazine and American Songwriter (“heartwarming” and “heartfelt and energizing”).
Since their 2012 debut EP, Judah & the Lion have earned widespread acclaim for their genre-bending music, received Platinum/Gold certifications and amassed over 930 million career streams. Six of their hit singles have gone Top 15 on Alternative radio and the band won an iHeart Music Award for Best New Alt Rock Band of 2019.
