Flula Makes Five, the scripted sitcom podcast series from comedian and actor Flula Borg, returns with a brand-new episode, "Flula’s Very Special Thanksgiving," on November 19 on all major podcasting platforms. This heartwarming and hilarious new episode celebrates the beloved sitcom tradition of “very special” episode and continues the series’ second season motif of all holiday-centric episodes.

The episode sees The Roberts family face off against a tense political standoff when protesters tear down a beloved statue. It is up to Flula to broker the peace between Mitch (portrayed by John Lehr) and neighbor Long Paul (Jean-Pierre Livingston) in time to save Thanksgiving.

Special guest star Seth Green (Robot Chicken, The Italian Job) plays the city’s local newscaster. Additional guest stars are Tamara Garfield and Clare Grant.
The scripted sitcom podcast, praised by CNN, Good Day LA, CBS Boston and more, stars Flula Borg, John Lehr (Quickdraw, 10 Items or Less), Julie Edwards (from the band Deap Vally), Henri Cash (from the band Starcrawler), and Russell Horning (the inventor of the viral dance sensation Flossing). Newcomer Heidi Rowe joins the cast as the family’s youngest member.

This season also features Joey Lawrence (Blossom), Matthew Lawrence (Boy Meets World), and Andrew Lawrence (United States of Tara). The Lawrence brothers also currently host the Brotherly Love Podcast together.

Season two kicked off with the Halloween-themed season premiere, with guest star Andy Richter. “A Very Flula Christmas” is slated for December 17 and “Flula’s Belabor Day Bash” with guest star Mindy Cohn (The Facts Of Life, Apple TV's Palm Royale) will premiere “right before Belabor Day,” according to Borg.

All episodes will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all streaming platforms.
“I am so excitement that Flula Makes Five has been renewed for a Season Two !," says Flula Borg. "And double good news: the hole gang entire is returning! Also do not worry fans, I have made VERY certain that this time our director of photography will remove the lens caps before filming! This is especial important because the legendary Lawrence Brothers have moved in with us (next door)! And we have many dope guest stars this season! The wunderbar Andy Richter, Seth Green and Mindy Cohn! Possibly Jack Nicholson! And many more guests of surprise! Enjoy the new season, all in beautiful 4K!!!”

Flula Makes Five revolves around a family that purchases a new house, only to discover that a German techno DJ (played by Borg) holds a 100-year lease to their basement—and to the bottom shelf of their refrigerator. Co-created by Borg, Alex Hinton, and series writer/director Andy Wombwell, the show gained a cult following despite an unfortunate “lens cap mishap” that left the entire series filmed without video. Thankfully, the audio was recorded, leading to its rebirth as a podcast.

“When life hands you lemons, you make a podcast!” says Borg.

Each episode of Season Two will celebrate a different holiday, with a new installment released for every “major holiday,” as defined by Borg.

Flula Makes Five celebrates the great sitcoms of the 80s and 90s. It’s like a nice warm bath we hope listeners will enjoy stepping into,” says Wombwell.
