South African rapper Nasty C and Nigerian producer Lekaa Beats share their much-awaited EP, Confuse The Enemy, out now on Exodus.

Recorded across London, Lagos, and Johannesburg, Confuse the Enemy is not just an EP, it's a statement. Fusing hip-hop, trap, amapiano and afrobeat, the culture-spanning, genre-blending project unites South African and Nigerian music with UK innovation. The EP features a diverse lineup of stars, including Chip, Odumodublvck, Daliwonga, Yumbs, Gabzy and Zee Nxumalo.

‘Life Of The Party’ is the EP’s’ magical opening track, bringing together SA singer-songwriter Daliwonga, producer Yumbs and Zee Nxumalo - a Swati-born South African singer and songwriter. Released as a single on October 2nd, it’s got an amapiano vibe to it, laced with a range of vocals, from the seductive, silky and smooth to the sharp and quick-fire.

A standout track on the EP is ‘Trouble’, featuring UK rap star Chip & Nigerian artist Odumodublvck. It’s an emotional Afrofusion track about releasing yourself from the “trouble” and pressures success can throw at you - “I prayed for the rain so I’ve gotta take the mud that comes with it”.

Beaming about the arrival of Confuse the Enemy, Nasty C says “I'm excited for people to tap into this project. I'm flowing over a lot of unexpected sounds and it's been dope to have Lekaa [Beats] and I push each other sonically.”

Lekaa Beats adds, “It's been amazing to create with someone I now call a brother. Nasty C is one of the coldest artists I've worked with and we're ready for the world to hear what we've cooked up!”
