According to singer-songwriter CORY MARKS, 2024 will be “A Different Kind Of Year” as the dual-genre artist leans into his country side for his latest single, out digitally today, January 19, via Better Noise Music. The rousing track was written post-pandemic as a feel-good anthem and was produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Shania Twain). “A Different Kind Of Year” will be included on MARKS’ forthcoming sophomore album due later this year. Watch its lyric video below or directly via YouTube HERE. Stream and/or download “A Different Kind Of Year” here: https://corymarks.ffm.to/adkoy.

“It's the start of a brand-new year, a chance for you to start fresh, refocus and see what is really important in this life,” shares MARKS. “This new song is all about good times, re-connecting with family and friends. Committing to yourself to make things better in the year ahead and not taking those special things for granted. It’s a country song for country people, so cheers. Here’s to you, here’s to me and a different kind of year!”

MARKS’ 2020 groundbreaking debut album, Who I Am, landed at #1 on several Canadian charts including iTunes’ “Country Songs” and the Canadian Nielsen “Digital Sales Rock Genre” charts. The album featured the hit rock single “Outlaws & Outsiders,” which charted at #1 in the U.S. on Billboard’s “Rock Digital Song Sales” chart and #5 on iTunes “Country Songs. “Outlaws & Outsiders” made history in the U.S. by being the first-ever Top 10 rock radio charting single from a Canadian country act. The single has received over 144 million streams to date while achieving Platinum certification in Canada (MARKS’ home country) and Gold certification in the U.S. MARKS has since released three additional EPs and most recently collaborated with labelmates Eva Under Fire on the Top 20 U.S. rock radio-charting single “Unstoppable” in the fall of 2023.

MARKS has performed at more than 25 major music festivals in Canada and the U.S. and has toured both countries with his country-rock-infused music for a diverse range of audiences alongside acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, ZZ Top, Brantley Gilbert, Travis Tritt, and Toby Keith. He will embark on the “Liquored Up” tour across Canada with fellow Canadian country legend Aaron Pritchett and Matt Lang. The 32-date tour kicks off in Calgary, AB on January 27 and will conclude March 7 in Moncton, NB. See full dates below and find tickets via his website, www.corymarks.com.
