BRING THEIR MUSIC & COMEDY SHOW TO THE MIDWEST NEXT WEEK

Ken Marino and David Wain are comedians and filmmakers and also middle-aged dads / wannabe rockstars. They recently got together with a group of old friends to form MIDDLE AGED DAD JAM BAND (some band members are dads, some not; some middle aged, some not) and started jamming, playing a diverse songbook of classic rock, pop and more. When clips of these jam sessions went viral on social media, it led to sold-out live shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York as well as a glowing write-up in the Los Angeles Times. Now, they are bringing their show to the Midwest for dates in Minneapolis, Chicago, Ann Arbor and Cleveland, and fans can expect an evening of great music, comedy shtick in between songs and amazing guest stars including Craig Wedren (Shudder to Think).

David Wain grew up in Shaker Heights, OH just outside of Cleveland, where he played in various cover bands like Immoral Minority at University School and Shaker High School – see photos here – and was childhood friends with Wedren. Read more via his recent feature with the Cleveland Scene.

Wain then went on to go to NYU where he met Ken, and they co-founded the cult favorite sketch comedy group THE STATE. The pair stayed friends and collaborators over the years, working together on movies like Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer and Wanderlust and TV shows like Childrens Hospital, Medical Police and of course The State. Ken also has acted in a dumb amount of television series, and currently stars on The Other Two (HBO) and Party Down (Starz).

MIDDLE AGED DAD JAM BAND is Ken Marino (lead vocal), David Wain (drums), Frank Barrera (guitar), Sweet Teddy P (bass), Jon Spurney (keys/guitar), Jordan Katz (trumpet), and Henry Wain (sax).
