Fearless Journey of Heartbreak, Hear No Regrets from Kat Hamilton

The five-song oeuvre takes the listener through a cinematic journey of heartbreak, fantasy, and desire. Kat confides, "Sometimes it's not a love story, sometimes it's everything else." The fearless genre's explorative collective of songs features everything from slow-burned pop lullabies to lush folk-rock tunes and indie pop bangers. 

Kat Hamilton is a west-coast, singer, songwriter, and performer. Hamilton has had the career trajectory of a chameleon; lending her talents to pop-punk, emo, r&b, hip-hop, pop, and country. In 2017, Hamilton ended her five-year run as the frontwoman of popular east-coast pop punkers, Manic Pixi. She reemerged with her own vulnerable approach to Indie Rock, with a touch of Americana. Drawing inspiration from classics like Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac, as well as contemporaries like City and Colour. In 2018, The multiple SXSW performer debuted her own vulnerable approach to indie-rock. Her standout single "Bees" was featured on Fox's family dramedy, Almost Family (2019). Her following release and debut album "Recovery Songs" was released in 2020 to critical acclaim. The album tackled themes of sobriety, mental illness, and hitting rock bottom. Since then, Kat Hamilton has been featured in Earmilk, Rolling Stone India, Atwood Magazine, Medium, Popdust, and many other notable publications. 

Most recently, you can hear Hamilton singing as one-half of the LA-based indie-rock duo, Guyville. Guyville released its debut album “Girls with Guitars” in February 2023 to critical acclaim. You may also know Kat as the singing voice of Rashida Jones in a national Expedia commercial that aired during the Oscars in 2021. She is also the co-host and artist-curator at The Writers Round Los Angeles- an inclusive songwriters showcase presented at The North End Hollywood every Wednesday.  Outside of her musical accomplishments, Hamilton is a dedicated poet and freelance writer. Her debut poetry chapbook “The Thing’s We’ve Lost” is set to release at the end of 2023.
