r DI-VINCENT delivers sleek visuals for UKG cut "NEAR MISS"

East London's Di-Vincent and his potent new offering “Near Miss”. Charting the dissolution of youth culture with sounds reminiscent of darkened raves and warehouse settings, “Near Miss” is just a glimpse at what’s to come from one of the most exciting prospects across the underground.

Sleek and high-calibre from the offset, Di-Vincent’s raw sound waves shine front and centre across “Near Miss”; laced with punchy percussion that fuses alongside heavy piano stabs, the neo-garage backing creates a perfect foundation for the producer/ vocalist to flaunt his infectious rap prowess flourishing with authenticity. Delivered alongside an electric, monochrome music video, we see Di-Vincent manoeuvring through a busy London backdrop - flexing his nostalgic approach with sharpened textures and gritty cinematography that instantly depicts the fast pace and disorientation of inner-city life.

Speaking on the track, Di-Vincent mentions: “”Near Miss” is my way of dealing with the panic that life is passing us by too fast. The feeling that the gap is closing in and your dreams are becoming a delusion. That the chance is quickly fading away. I’m writing to remind myself that we can make it just in time if we keep on. Turn a miss into a near miss, take a risk. Dodge every obstacle and reach the destination.”

2022 saw Di-Vincent collaborate with some of the most pioneering talents across the electronic space - most notably “In My Head” alongside Bengali heritage artist Surya Sen and “The Remedy” with multidisciplinary talent Manni Dee, catapulting Di-Vincent onto centre stage, with key plays at Hör Berlin, TAAHLIAH’s Boiler Room Live and Daniel Avery’s set at Glastonbury 2022. Capping off a standout year, the rising artist also performed at London’s XOYO and Printworks - announcing the multifaceted talent as one of the city’s next breakout stars.
