SAM HAFT IS TURNING HIS BAD TIMES AROUND ON NEW DARK ELECTRO-POP EP

Platinum-certified artist and songwriter Sam Haft unveils his new dark electronic-pop EP Bad Times. The project details the story of a toxic relationship that’s run its course. Unfortunately, the onslaught of post-relationship alienation, heartbreak, and trauma is indeed a canon event and there’s no hope of interference.

On the esoteric-synth heavy “Afterburn,” Haft explains, “Afterburn is a mournful pop-R&B song about the numbness following a breakup. It describes that moment of terrible peace between the pain of the explosive end and the poison of the toxic fallout, as the chorus asks, rhetorically, ‘Have you been there losing sleep?’” Stay tuned for the official music video to drop next week!

The 5 track project features the previously released “Grow Up” feat. CG5, which V Magazine praised for its “catchy hook and addictive chorus,” along with new tracks “Pretending,” “Rooftop,” “Okay,” and somber pop-R&B tune “Afterburn.”

About the EP, Haft states, “Bad Times tells the story of a breakup from a series of different POVs at different moments in time. These moments are the “bad times” that will leave their mark on the two of them forever. It traces a relationship from the beginning of the end to the end of the next beginning. As it progresses, the songs take on dimensions of horror, as the scars left by this relationship bubble below the surface like a haunting.”

Sam Haft is a platinum-certified artist/singer/songwriter best known for his band The Living Tombstone, which NME dubbed as “the Internet’s biggest gaming band.” The Living Tombstone have over 25 billion global streams to their name and their original song “My Ordinary Life” is now RIAA-certified platinum. On top of his musical involvements, Haft is also a voiceover artist in some cartoons and iconic anime properties, a writer-director whose shorts have been featured in AV Club amongst others, and the music producer for A24’s forthcoming adult cartoon musical, Hazbin Hotel, due for release later this year.

With the release of this earworm project, Sam Haft is encouraging you to protect your peace and forget about those Bad Times this summer. Stay tuned for the video for “Afterburn”
