Chappell Roan is an artist on the brink of pop stardom. Bold hooks, honest songwriting, and a heavy dose of glitter make up the unapologetically honest world of Chappell Roan, who’s built up a cult-like fanbase over the past year with releases like her breathtaking self-written ballad “Kaleidoscope”, last year’s cinematic fan favorite “Casual”, and her synth-pop smash breakthrough, 2020’s “Pink Pony Club”. Chappell discusses her new single “Red Wine Supernova”, out today with an intimate visualizer, in an interview on New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, as well as the mentions her forthcoming debut album, hinting at a fall release via Amusement/Island Records. Reflecting on the song, Chappell says, “I needed a campy gay girl song that captured the magic of having feelings for another girl. I packed the song with fun raunchy lyrics that make it feel like a night out flirting with the girl across the bar!”

Chappell Roan also announces fall headlining tour— an expansive North American tour with dates across the US and Canada, kicking off in September. Tickets will be on sale Thursday 5/18 at 10am local time at iamchappellroan.com.

An electrifying performer, Chappell wrapped her debut headline Naked in North America tour in March, instantly selling-out all tour stops including New York (Webster Hall), Los Angeles (The Fonda), San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto and more. The ecstatic shows earned universal praise for Chappell’s magnetic performances and for creating a “glamorous safe space,” and “disco dance party where everyone can feel like the most fun, the most free version of themselves,” in rooms bursting at the seams with energy.

Already gaining recognition for her work within and commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, Chappell invited local drag artists in each market to open for her. Additionally, Chappell has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from every ticket sale from her Naked In North America Tour to For The Gworls, a Black and trans-led collective that curates parties to fundraise money to help Black transgender people pay for their rent, gender-affirming surgeries, smaller co-pays for medicines/doctor’s visits and travel assistance. For more information about For The Gworls visit: www.forthegworls.party. Chappell’s live shows have become infamous, making her an obvious choice for opener on Olivia Rodrigo’s 2022 Sour Tour. Chappell’s upcoming headline tour will expand her intoxicating live show experience, doubling the number of cities she’ll perform in at venues twice the size of those along her debut headline tour.

Chappell Roan continues to connect with her growing fanbase by championing open and honest expression of identity and sexuality. Through her music, art, style and spirit, she has already earned press nods from Pitchfork, NPR, MTV, Vulture, V Magazine, Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue and more. Earlier heralded releases “Pink Pony Club,” “Naked In Manhattan,” and the “deliciously vindictiveMy Kink Is Karma” (co-written with Daniel Nigro & Justin Tranter) received well-deserved traction in both the digital and live music world paving the way for her debut album and more live shows coming this year.
