STACEY RYAN SHARES NEW SINGLE “DREAM BOY”
(Oct. 27, 2023 – New York, NY) Stacey Ryan, the 23-year-old Montreal singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist and Queen Of “Jazz-Tok,” releases her brand new single “Dream Boy,” available today via Island Records. The ethereal and atmospherically bopping single is the first new music from Stacey since the April release of her 6-song debut EP I Don’t Know What Love Is. The EP gathered four previously released singles – the fan-favorite “Fall In Love Alone,” (which has garnered over 100 million streams, “Deep End,” “Over Tonight,” and “Bad For Me,” plus new tracks “The Idea” and “Somebody Good.”
“‘Dream Boy’ was inspired by my yearning for somebody special in my life and coming to a realization that maybe I’m just looking for somebody unattainable, someone who could only exist in my imagination. [it’s] a Bossa-inspired track with lush vocals and chord choices blended to create a hypnotic dreamlike state for the listener.” – Stacey Ryan
“Dream Boy” came together for Stacey after a busy spring and summer tour schedule. She supported Jake Wesley Rogers on his 7-week, 30-city Peace Love & Pluto Tour across the U.S. and Canada. In April, Stacey headed overseas for two weeks of European shows with Joshua Bassett across Germany, Amsterdam, Paris, and the UK. Stacey was then introduced to festival audiences at the Great Escape in Brighton (UK); Java Jazz in Indonesia (the biggest music festival in the country, where “Fall In Love Alone” hit #1 on Billboard’s Indonesia Songs chart); the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland (one of the most prestigious jazz events in the world); and the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.
