💫Izzy S.O shares beautiful new single 'Would We Make It'💫
Today Izzy S.O returns with the beautiful new single ‘Would We Make It’. Alongside its release, Izzy S.O shares news of her sophomore EP ‘Silly Me’ due for release on the 17th of November.
Emotive and reflective, ‘Would We Make It’ is a powerful offering arriving as a dreamy display of Izzy S.O’s vocal talent.
Out today, the new single is born in the wake of a break-up, touching on some of the feelings, questions and frustrations that are hard to shake. Sharing more Izzy explained; ‘Would we make it’ is about the feeling when you know a relationship is over but you still love and care about the person a lot. You start to question whether if it wasn’t for all the complications that life can sometimes bring - ‘would we make’.
It’s also about that bigger feeling of how in general, life can get messy and complicated but if you sat for a moment human to human, I think we could see past the things that can sometimes feel so big and so important.
Don’t let the chaos of life affect the relationships with the people you love too much because if you only had one more day with them most of the rubbish we think we care about wouldn’t matter.
Would We Make It is the third track to be revealed from Izzy S.O’s upcoming second EP Silly Me. The new single follows recent release Without You I Don’t Like Sundays, which came out last month. The catchy dose of nostalgia touched on the essential phase of rebuilding after a breakup. It was met by a wave of support from new music blogs and the accompanying video was premiered by Noctis Magazine. Check out the piece HERE.
Silly Me, which is the upcoming record's title track, was the first single to be revealed. Infectious and buzzy, the tune showcased bold guitar riffs and cathartic songwriting, scooping praise from the likes of Fizzy Mag, Ones To Watch and Clash who compared the track to ‘prime Garbage singles, or even Alanis Morrisette.’
Born in the West Midlands, Izzy S.O was raised on a diet of musical expression and creativity. Originally turning to poetry as her creative outlet, she began processing her emotions and experiences into a more digestible art form. This later transcended into songwriting, which during the pandemic, evolved further as she began working with producer Dustin Dooley. It was then Izzy cemented her sound which today toes a line between alt-pop and pop-rock and indie. Pulling inspiration from the female greats such as Alanis Morisette, Mazzy Star and Avril Lavinge, Izzy’s authentic expression and rich emotive songwriting is the perfect soundtrack to heal to.
With lots more to come from Izzy S.O this year, and a headline show on the 9th of November at Strongrooms, London (tickets here) she’s definitely someone to keep all eyes on!
