#Freshfind AJA talks Karma, Mukbangs, and Sleepovers
Here’s the story: we did something a bit, well, extra. Not only were we going to interview Senses and photograph their show at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, but we may have done this times two. That’s right, we also interviewed AJA. If you missed the first interview, check it out here (After this one).

Back to the story at foot, we made our way to the heart of the city and made a detour to the Blind Pig—a small pub known as the place where humble beginnings and drunk college nights formed. We, too, had fond memories of this place from seeing Chairlift's last show and having to pick up a friend who was passed out at a G Eazy show.
We took a small break to enjoy the city right after our interview with the Senses. After a quick bite, we were back at the Blind Pig to meet with AJA, who had just arrived at the venue. While Leah's team was still sound-checking, we decided it was best to do the interview in the sprinter van. The van was not only super quiet but was very clean, with only a large white bear sitting in the back seat.
After the interview, we decided to grab ice cream a few buildings away from the venue as it was our original ideal location for the interview, but fears of weather impacted that choice. Just like that, it was time for soundcheck. We stuck around for the check before we knew it; it was time for the show to start.
Aja set was right after Senses, and you can feel that dynamic cross from pop-punk into the bedroom pop realm. Fans started getting into each of her songs, and by the time “Karma is a B” instrumental started to play, they were dancing and belting alongside her.
AJA has the last laugh with the release of her new single ‘Karma’s a B’, once more proving that she is a force to be reckoned with. Today’s catchy new offering arrives just as AJA heads off on a huge 22-date US tour with the amazing ‘Leah Kate’.
Toronto-born AJA has been making a name for herself since she launched in 2020 when she was just 16. Like many artists building their careers during a global pandemic, touring had to take a back seat. However, with performing live at the core of who she is as an artist, your new favorite bop-star is making up for lost time!
Throughout AJA’s journey, she has won hearts and turned heads at every step. From being coined the iHeartRadio Future Star for her smash single “Red Button" to receiving acclaim from Billboard, Clash, Consequence, The Line of Best Fit, Dork, Spin, and Flaunt. She's scooping a wealth of DSP support from the likes of NMF, Young & Free, and more!
Despite still being 19 years old, AJA sits on an impressive catalog of alt-pop earworms, amassing to over 6 Million streams. Her music has developed into a strong and inspiring language that is complimented by her timeless and powerful vocal talent.
Keep all eyes on AJA.
