Louden Swain just dropped off There's The Rub, sounds weird but trust us, its great.
Los Angeles-based indie/alternative rock & roll group LOUDEN SWAIN will release their tenth studio album FEELINGS AND SUCH on November 11. The band, fronted by actor/musician ROB BENEDICT (“Supernatural,” “Lucifer,” “Felicity”), combine rock & roll swagger and melodic jangle with emotive, electrifying songs about pushing past challenges and turning one's struggles into salvation. LOUDEN SWAIN have today shared the new single “There’s The Rub” with a charismatic, feel-good music video starring BENEDICT’s “Supernatural” co-star Kim Rhodes and directed by co-founder and bassist MICHAEL BORJA.

Premiered via PopMatters yesterday (10/26) who described the song as an “energized indie rock cut” with “infectious energy,” the band share the song’s meaning stating: “‘There’s The Rub’ is about the dance of addiction when you think your best days are behind you." Rounded out by drummer STEPHEN NORTON and guitarist BILLY MORAN, LOUDEN SWAIN will host a special, intimate record release show in North Hollywood this Saturday, October 29 where they’ll perform FEELINGS AND SUCH in its entirety along with fan-favorites from their previous albums. LOUDEN SWAIN have additional shows lined up throughout 2023 in conjunction with Supernatural conventions across the country. During the three-day conventions, they perform throughout the day’s panels as the house band and on the second night perform a headlining show open to convention attendees and general public featuring original music and sometimes guest appearances from the convention’s guests. LOUDEN SWAIN were also recently added as the opening act for Radio Company (fronted by actor Jensen Ackles) at their first-ever show in Nashville on December 19. Full dates can be found below.
Co-produced by LOUDEN SWAIN and longtime collaborator Zackary Darling (The Temptations, John Waite), FEELINGS AND SUCH is an album rooted in trials and triumphs, whipped into shape by a band of rock & roll lifers who've had plenty of experience with both. BENEDICT had gone through a divorce, BORJA had recently lost his father, NORTON was battling colon cancer and everyone’s lives had been altered by the pandemic. Yet LOUDEN SWAIN continued to look on the bright side during those moments of darkness and doubt and recorded the finest record of their 25-year career.
