Vans Gives a Band! was created as a House of Vans legacy program to inspire and empower students to embrace their creativity through music and bring attention to diminishing music education budgets. Vans® believes everyone should be empowered to express themselves creatively and should be given the tools to do so. Vans is the original action sports footwear, apparel and accessories brand. Earlier this year Vans brought their cultural hub and international music venue, House of Vans to Detroit for a wildly successful Pop-up experience in January 2019.

Each Detroit public school will have a chance to receive $10,000 of music equipment to form one of the following bands: rock band, jazz band, classical ensemble and a $10,000 grant to fund your music program.

GRANT APPLICATION SUBMISSION deadline:June 14th

SUBMISSIONS REVIEWED BY VANS June 17th – June 28th

WINNERS ANNOUNCED Week of September 2nd
