“I took my time to put this project together… Sometimes, I feel like people try to place me in a box. The pressure of being a new artist, being successful, staying disciplined, and still clocking into the studio is very strenuous. Produced by MIA JayC and Lee Choppn, “Free Big Meech” hinges on tense synths and punchy 808s, while Skilla Baby unleashes a vital verbal flurry. He brushes off opps, “I’m too fucking rich to fight,” and he flexes on the chantable chorus, “The bag I’m in, I make fifty thousand every month.” In the accompanying visual, he exudes energy that’s as uncontainable as his talent.
Next up, the “Vultures Eat The Most” Tour takes him across the country on his most extensive jaunt yet. It kicks off on May 30 at Level 13 in Orlando, FL and rolls through major markets such as Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and Boston, MA before ending at House of Blues in Dallas, TX on July 2.
Among many accolades, BET just named him as April’s “BET Amplified Artist.” Thus far, Skilla Baby has amassed nearly 300 million streams and north of 111 million views. He has notched major co-signs from the likes of Jack Harlow, City Girls, Rylo Rodriguez, Rob49, Tee Grizzley, Luh Tyler, YTB Fatt, and many others.
