(April 12, 2024) – Los Angeles, CA – Today, singer and guitarist Corbyn Besson releases his new single "Like That" feat. Armani White (from the TikTok viral hit 'BILLIE EILISH.') via BMG Recordings - listen HERE. Best known as one-fifth of multi billion streaming and arena headlining boy band Why Don’t We, Corbyn began his music career on his own, releasing songs online. After seven years with the group, which Corbyn joined in 2016, he’s finally stepped out as a solo artist.

"I wrote this song at a time in my life where it felt like my whole world was crumbling around me and I had absolutely no control over the outcome," Corbyn reflects on writing "Like That". "All I could think about during that time in my life was my favorite memories, and I was honestly really scared that I would never be able to relive those moments. Writing this song was like therapy for me - I was able to relive all my best memories in a very vivid way and almost kind of speak them into existence for the future, so to hear that Armani loved the song and wanted to write a verse on it was such a sick moment. He took this song to a place I never thought it could go."

"This song reminds me of sneaking out of the house in high school to go to those house parties that I know we've all been to," Corbyn continues. "Even younger, begging my mom to drive me and my best friends to the skatepark on Saturdays. It's also about dreaming about the future, about falling in love and wanting the finer things in life. It's got nostalgia and it's also about being a dreamer. I wrote this song for you and your best friends, and I hope you make some of your best memories listening to it."

"Like That" comes after Corbyn's solo debut single "Love Me Better," which dropped earlier this year. Originally written with his bandmates Daniel Seavey and Jonah Marais as a single for Why Don't We before their hiatus, "Love Me Better" has already been championed by Zach Sang on The Zach Sang Show, Brooke Reese on Apple Music's The Chart Show, and supported by Billboard, Paper Magazine and Rolling Stone. The upbeat pop hooks and big gang vocals harken back to Why Don’t We, but it also features driving acoustic and electric riffs and urban-leaning drums that separate Corbyn from the group’s sound. It embraces the sentiment of breaking free from something that no longer serves you.

“The beauty of music is how it connects people emotionally regardless of language or background. A song can be a three-minute escape from the world around you during a challenging time or it can enhance things that are fun or uplifting,” Corbyn says. “I really want people to feel good listening to my music. I want to be a safe place for my fans to turn to when they feel like they’ve got nowhere else to go, because they’ve been that for me.”
