Zoe has released a smattering of critically acclaimed singles this year including “Petri Dish,” and “Rib Cage,” both of which appear on her new EP, Baby Teeth. About Zoe, Ones To Watch raved, "The vocals have a touch of Olivia Rodrigo in the angst, but with a bouncy, alternative finish; Zoe Ko is on the rise,” while Sweetyhigh claimed “We’re new to the music of Zoe Ko, but it’s only taken one track to leave us completely enthralled.”

Officially dropping on November 3, Baby Teeth also features the recently released title track (“Baby Teeth”) and introduces two new tracks, “Tangerine” and “Pink Noise.”

For Zoe, Baby Teeth is her self-reflective coming-of-age story – a play-by-play of what it’s like to be a Gen Z woman who uprooted her life and moved across the country. For listeners, it’s the perfect introduction to Zoe, showcasing her brilliance as both a singer and a storyteller.

Produced by Jonny Shorr, Baby Teeth includes co-writes with Catie Turner (“Rib Cage”) and UPSAHL (“Pink Noise”), and features Katie Henderson from The Aces on guitar.

“This project is for the person who still needs to heal, come to terms with their past, and then let loose, have fun, and strut with confidence,” describes Zoe.

In particular, Zoe manages to truly encapsulate the feminine experience on the standout track, “Pink Noise.”

“It’s vulnerable, it’s powerful, it’s rageful…it shows what “pink noise” can sound like. Throughout history, each generation of women has faced similar or new challenges. And even though there has been a lot of movement and growth for women and society, I think it’s fair to say that every woman on this planet faces some form of their own feelings of feminine rage.”

Each section of “Pink Noise” is about a universally female experience. The song is fueled by punchy electric licks and culminates with an emotionally jolting big band of a chorus featuring background vocals from Maddy Davis, Isabel Dumaa, and Riley Biederer.

For the music video, Zoe drew inspiration from the 2007 film St. Trinian’s, a British comedy about an anarchic school for troublesome girls. The incredible cast includes: King Mala, Catie Turner, Sophie Traux, Grace Power, Chitra, Dafna, Lennon Torres, Riley Biederer, Avery Lynch, and Natasha Hunt Lee.

“It was the perfect energy and visual identity to reference for Pink Noise,” she shares. “Just like the song, I wanted the video to embody feminine power and rage and show what pink noise can be like.”

Raised in New York City, Zoe started working in the industry when she was 19. After a great deal of exploration while isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic, she consistently worked on her craft and honed her sound. Zoe is both influenced and inspired by artists like Gwen Stefani, Paramore, and Wet Leg, which lends to her energetic and emotionally revealing songs. Zoe’s debut release "Line" quickly garnered attention and landed on numerous Spotify editorial playlists including Young & Free, Fresh Finds: Class of 2022, and Fresh Finds: Pop, Good Vibes.
