Ukrainian born and Los Angeles based singer, rapper, and songwriter Alina Pash has released her latest single and music video, “Bad Witch.” Inspired by the witchcraft-centered 2000s TV series Charmed, which was translated in Ukraine to All Women Are Witches, the track celebrates the diverse sides of women and encourages them to be themselves. While historically women were once feared as witches, today the word carries a message of fostering personal and universal growth, a badge Alina wears proudly. The accompanying video finds Alina summoning a modern day coven of it girls. Driven by an insatiable appetite, she awakens the group’s powers as they refuel their broomsticks, steal hearts, and prepare to paint the town blood red.

“‘Bad Witch’ is my personal feminist celebration. It’s my therapy, and as you can see and hear, it’s wildly entertaining,” shares Alina. She continues, “For too long, I locked away my true self, believing I had to be perfect, always the ‘good girl.’ But with ‘Bad Witch,’ I’m unleashing my beast, giving myself — and anyone else who resonates with it — the freedom to embrace every aspect of who we are, even the parts hidden in the darkest corners. Let’s celebrate our authentic and full selves, in all their forms.”

Alina Pash is a genre-bending artist who has established herself as one of the most active Ukrainian musical voices in Europe. Since participating and placing third in the Ukrainian edition of The X Factor in 2016, she has utilized her platform to not only share her multifaceted talent and style, but also provide a voice for the voiceless. “Bad Witch” offers the first taste of what’s to come later this year from Alina.
