REQUIEM WORLD TOUR BEGINS THIS FALL WITH DATES INCLUDING NY’S MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, LA’S KIA FORUM, LONDON’S 02 ARENA AND MORE
(August 9, 2024) keshi —the acclaimed Houston-born singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist— presents another dimension of his upcoming album with “Dream.” The new single and accompanying music video exemplify keshi’s poignant songwriting as his lovelorn vocals drift over gentle guitar strums and haunting piano keys.
“Dream is my idea of the perfect song,” keshi says. “Lyrics vivid yet concise, production sparse but intentional, and wrapped up with a tagline that’s supposed to gut you. It’s about the ‘what if’ that keeps you up at night, and the feeling you can’t seem to let go. It’s beautifully haunting - the kind of song you sing with your heart in your throat.”
In the official music video, which was also released today, keshi transports viewers to a distant universe, where a highly regarded, yet lonely figure is challenged by the arrival of an angel. “Dream” is directed by Christian Haahs of AEDIA STUDIO (NewJeans, XG, Stray Kids).
Requiem, the second full length album from keshi, releases September 13th via Island Records. “Dream” is the second offering from the album following keshi’s beloved, citypop anthem, “Say,” which was released last month. “Say” broke new ground as keshi’s fastest streamed record, surpassing 1 million plus listens within the first day and 10 million plus since its release on Spotify alone.
This fall, keshi will embark on a 35-city headlining tour which hits many of the world’s most iconic arenas throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Kicking off October 6th at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, the tour stops include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, San Francisco’s Chase Center and more, before heading overseas to Europe in December, Australia/New Zealand in February, and Asia in February and March.
In recent years, keshi has become a streaming force, racking up over 11 billion streams across his trilogy of EPs and debut album, Gabriel, which was released in 2022. The strength of his catalog has given keshi the opportunity to tour the world repeatedly, selling out shows globally and continually elevating his live productions and performance. Raising the bar yet again after last year’s two sold out shows at both Radio City Music Hall in New York and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, keshi manifested the soundtrack for the packed stadium stages that he’ll grace later this year and beyond.
