Nashville-based artist and producer Jack Vinoy reveals his first full length body of work ‘RELAY’

RELAY arrives as a dynamic and impressive record free from the confines of genre.

The 15-track record is an enticing culmination of slick r&b beats, warm indie, bouncy melodies and innovative production. From start to finish, RELAY radiates a woozy warmth ready to soundtrack your upcoming core memories.

Released independently, Jack Vinoy’s debut album has been years in the making. The album sees him team up with no less than 28 collaborators and is a testament to the Nashville community that he is proud to be a part of.

The record's focus track ‘VILLAGE’ pays homage to the power of community and offers a snapshot into the world he has built around him. Gentle melodies and laid back vocals make VILLAGE a delightful moment on this stellar record. Sharing more Jack explained: Lyrically VILLAGE feels like it’s the cornerstone of RELAY, I’m singing all about the community I’m a part of in Nashville. The underground music scene here is incredible and people are really supportive of each other, it’s unlike any other scene I’ve been a part of and I genuinely feel like there’s space for all of us to succeed. See below for the tracklist;

Jack has teased five of the 15 album tracks ahead of release and has been putting himself on the map as an exciting emerging artist to watch.

Back in April he shared ‘LEMON & HONEY’ in collaboration with Nashville-based pal Brian Brown. The track scooped support from the likes of Colors X Studio, Equate and Noctis who described Jack as ‘‘embodying the spirit of infectious positivity and optimism in the captivating rhythm’.

Previously unheard track ‘NEW SUPPLY’ also offers a positive dose of optimism with smooth beats and clever, playful lyricism. Sharing more, Jack said: NEW SUPPLY is about making the most out of nothing, looking for beauty in everything and not letting old shit bring you down. I’ve got this rock with the word ‘JOY’ written on it in silver sharpie. When my brain is cooperative, I’m usually trying to keep that in there as a mantra and look for things to be happy about - I think it’s generally pretty optimistic but it could also be a sign my Prozac dosage needs a boost, who knows.’

Woozy ear-worm VAGABOND came out at the end of last year featuring Jordan Xx. It was also received warmly by press including the likes of Ones To Watch, Equate magazine, Fault mag and more.

More recently ahead of the new album, Jack shared ROTATE, a potent dose of energy that arrived last month. The single incorporates sample chops, big 808s, swung drums and beat switches as it shifts from an alternative R&B-influenced starting point to the brash punk ending. Another product of teamwork, it features talented peers Andrew Twining, Brent Hendrich, and Buda who went into building up the ending, creating the distinct wall of sound. In addition, the track features background vocals from Noozi who also steps out on EVEREST HEIGHTS.

Fans were treated to EVEREST HEIGHTS last summer, in all its blissful glory. It took shape as a funk-laden ray of light, carrying the essential reminder to appreciate the little things in life.

Originally From Saint Petersburg, Florida, Jack has been developing his stand-out sound over the last few years, taking inspiration from the likes of Jai Paul, Mac Miller and Jean Dawson.

Firmly settled in Nashville Tennessee, Jack is fully immersed in the thriving underground music scene that Nashville has to offer; from collaborations with fellow emerging artists to hosting open-to-public networking studio sessions and events through ca.mp3.

With today's world being so challenging, fast and online for emerging artists, RELAY represents something different:  the power of community and connection amongst like minded and driven artists. Sitting in a studio making music with your friends simply cannot be replicated by technology.
