Oliver Keane shares his dreamy, self-produced new single GIVE ME A REASON

Listen HERE

Warm and weightless, Give Me A Reason arrives as a gorgeous new offering from Oliver Keane. Sharing more behind the track he explained: ‘The song started as a ballad and lived in that space for a lot of versions but it felt like something was missing. I’d been listening to a lot of softer indie, such as Spacey Jane, Del Water Gap, Sam Fender which inspired the huge chorus. It was fun to re-work the song and be able to put time into the instrumentation.

I’m proud of the song and the journey it’s been through.’

Things have been really falling into place for emerging artist Oliver Keane. Last month he released the euphoric guitar anthem ROMEO which did not go unnoticed. 1883 magazine said his sound ‘constantly pushes the boundaries of genre’ whilst commenting that ROMEO goes ‘beyond a love song’.

As an artist who is at home playing live, he kicked off this year by supporting Giant Rooks on their European tour, quickly followed by a UK tour with Sea Girls. Having already gained significant experience supporting the likes of The Snuts, GAYLE, Only the Poets and The Academics, his impressive live performance has gone from strength to strength. With each show, his fan base grows in real-time, pinning him as one of the UK’s most exciting new prospects.

Derby-born Oliver Keane has been making a name for himself as an emerging singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer since he launched. In the run up to his debut EP ‘16mm Dream Sequence’, he had already scooped much praise from the likes of Complex UK, Clash, Fault, Wonderland, Variance magazine and more. Not only that but he has a loyal fan base that continues to thrive across the globe with over 1.3M likes of Tik Tok and 60K followers across his social media accounts.

Having grown up in a house full of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana, Oliver’s sound was initially influenced by guitar music. He began learning to play the guitar himself at the tender age of 9 and it was quickly established that he had a special talent for making music, with a gift way beyond his years for writing lyrics. Later on, Oliver took to more indie leaning bands such as Catfish and the Bottleman which influenced his sound further, bringing it closer to what you hear today. From a young-age he has also been evolving his technical skills and has been writing and producing for other artists including Nieve Ella and Abby Roberts in recent months.

Sat on a wealth of impressive genre-bending indie/alt-pop, you won’t have to wait too long before Oliver Keane is a well known name.
