Today, exceptional newcomer aimei 媚 (Pronounced Eye-May) shares her second EP “Bloom.” Today’s release comes with two new songs; the EP’s stunning title track and the brooding, electronic opener “Breathe” which both played live at her headline at The Lower Third only this Tuesday.

Speaking about the EP, aimei 媚 explains “With Bloom, I wanted to create something that felt deeply personal yet relatable. The EP is a natural evolution from my first EP,  brighter and more hopeful, with each song telling part of my story. From the calm of Breathe to the darker tones of Dark Arts, to the reflections on love and self-acceptance in Need U and Bloom, this project captures my growth. It’s a journal of my journey, embracing the challenges that have shaped me and celebrating finally feeling ready to bloom into my true self.”

In the build-up to this EP release, aimei 媚 has released singles “Need U” & “Dark Arts” which both landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday with the latter also landing on the BBC Radio 1 Playlist as their Introducing Track of the Week. The EP’s tracks were also added to a wide range of Spotify tastemaker playlists including Our Generation, Planet Rave & New Pop  UK.

Earlier this week aimei 媚 headlined The Lower Third. This show closely followed two other sold-out London shows this year at The Outernet’s The Forge in March and a follow-up at the Bermondsey Social Club in June.

Today’s “Bloom” EP is also a quick follow-up to aimei 媚 debut EP “City’s Violent” which saw her named as  Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds Artists of the Month and the face of their ‘Planet Rave’ playlist.  The tracks from that EP has been playlisted on key press tastemakers such as NME, COLORS, Dork, Best Fit & Ones To Watch
