#Soldout We caught Lauren Spencer Smiths show at St. Andrew's Music Hall in Detroit

The view of the sold out crowd at St. Andrew’s Music Hall

I know we always say this, but what a night we had last night! We danced and sang our hearts out to Lauren Spencer Smith’s Detroit show. Fans queued since nine in the morning to check out the sold-out show. Fans even had the chance to say a special shout message to Lauren via her phone as they waited to get inside.

Once inside there was no time for delay as the first of two openers started the night off. Geena Fontanella was an instant hit with the fans as they already knew a few of her songs. Before her departure, she did a quick Poison cover that had even the older crowd members excited.

Then it was Blake Rose next up on the stage. We had been covering his latest album for a moment, so it was exciting for us to get to hear him live. It may have been a strip-down set but the vocals were not.

It was time for Lauren to appear on stage and she did so by ascending up a white staircase. There was a bit of a rocky start with audio feedback but she was not phased by it as she continued to sing through it while the sound engineers fixed it.

She started off with Never Been In Love before going into Bigger Person. She played a few crowd favorites like Fantasy and Fingers Crossed and even an Adele cover. All before wrapping it up with an encore of Flowers and Do It All Again

Most of the tour is sold out but there might still be a chance for you to check out the show. For the complete list of tour dates, ticket links, and VIP packages, head to tour.LaurenSpencerSmith.com.

More About The Mirror Album

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter & global breakout star Lauren Spencer Smith shares her debut full-length album Mirror, out via Island Records/Republic Records. Mirror features 15 deeply moving, personal songs that provide listeners with an autobiographical look into Lauren’s life. The title Mirror is intimate and deliberate:

“I’ve been working on this album for years. It has been with me through so much in my life, the highs and the lows, and it means more to me than I can put into words. It tells a story of reflection, healing, and growth. The title comes from the one thing in my life that's seen me in every emotion through that journey— my bedroom and bathroom mirror.”
