NXXXXXS SHARES “EVERY DAY FURTHER FROM YOU IS A BETTER DAY” FT. ARTHRN

Paris-based artist-producer NxxxxxS (pronounced "N-Five X-S”) returns with his final outing before his upcoming album Short Term Agreement.  He’s headed to the land of fire and ice with his friend and rising rapper arthrn for his new single “Every Day Further From You Is A Better Day”. The track combines rave ambiances with celestial pop elements and a glacial d&b backdrop, highlighting arthrn's melodic auto-tuned flow, which recalls Yung Lean, Bladee, or Sega Bodega.

Inspired by one of his favorite movies, Stalker by Tarkovsky, NxxxxxS describes the idea behind the visuals: “In the film, the characters are always laying on super uncomfortable floors for no reason (like mud/puddles or rocks), because of that I wanted to create a music video with characters just laying on the floor,” he explains. “The music video is a game of who follows who. In the beginning, you can see arthrn and I being followed by 2 men wearing suits and black masks until we realize they are following us and decide to follow them instead. Then some strange stuff starts to happen...We shot the video in Iceland in March, which was -18 Celsius / 0 F.”

The new single follows the Phonk-infused outing “HEAD! SHOT!”, a genre that NxxxxxS has helped spearhead into the masses (his tracks have been streamed over 70 million times across all DSPs), his gritty ode to UK drill, "Grub", featuring London’s Jeshi and his exotic-infused jaunt “Slump” with Canadian rapper Freddie Dredd. The album has garnered support from HotNewHipHop, Dazed, CLASH, Variance Magazine, Benji B, Jack Saunders, and more.

The 19 tracks on Short Term Agreement serve as the foundation for NxxxxxS' new identity, featuring a rich and diverse array of sounds thanks to the numerous guests involved: London rapper Jeshi - a new British rap phenomenon also freshly signed to Because Music, French rappers 8ruki & Bitsu, Canadian Freddie Dredd and American underground talents Pollari and Baby.com. Avoiding the pitfalls of a compilation-like producer album, NxxxxxS has once again carved out his own style from the modern hip-hop rule book. In other words, NxxxxxS’ constant evolution has brought us much closer to solving the mystery of his name.

NxxxxxS has also been making moves in the fashion world, having arranged the music for Chanel FW/22/23 with Sébastien Tellier, scored the latest adidas x IVY PARK campaign with Offset and Ice Spice, and has several Nike advertisements under his belt.
