Nashville-based, New York and LA-raised independent artist, Anna Rose transforms cross-genre influences—which range from classic rock to alternative-indie, pop, and country—into concise contemporary tracks built upon dynamic, often bombastic vocals, and expert musicianship.

Throughout her fruitful career, critically acclaimed songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer Anna Rose has released three full-length studio albums and toured the United States headlining memorably intimate shows and opening for an array of illustrious global acts.

Rose has always impressed with her powerhouse vocals, finely tuned song-crafting, and exceptional storytelling. But Rose truly blossoms on her latest project, Last Girl of the Rodeo, an autobiographical concept record to be released single by single over the coming year.

Rose has now released “Whatever Gets You Through the Night,” the second single from the album.

"This song is about falling in love at first sight with someone you know you can never end up with,” shares Rose.

“It’s Romeo & Juliet. It’s exquisite torture. It’s knowing that you can’t handle your heart being shattered again but being unable to stop the train that’s already moving. Questioning your ability to love at all, after so much heartbreak. Hanging on every word they say and agonizing in the wait between.”

Rose co-wrote the song with her long-time friend and producer, Paul Moak. Much of the final recording is from the initial demo.

“We created so much of the soundscape during the demo process and ran my vocals through tape at the time,” she says. “We couldn’t beat the way it sounded when we went in to make the album.”

Last month, Rose released “Back on My Bullshit,” the intro single from Last Girl of the Rodeo. Real and raw, it’s a testament to her dedication to the craft, as she strips away any unnecessary fluff and tells nothing but the unfiltered truth.

“I don't care about any title that has ever been put on me,” declares Rose. “I only want to serve these songs and these stories. I am standing in the blast zone. There is nothing else here. It’s just me.”
