#Live Say Anything live at the Masonic Temple to celebrate 20 years of Is a Real Boy

Say Less, we arrive at the Masonic Temple to relive our high school memories and then some. With venues recently upgraded, fans of the band piled into the Masonic to hear the "Is a Real Boy" album in its entirety. Cult classics filled the adventure for everyone. Before the night started, Greet Ready and AJJ amped up the audience.

This tour was a historic moment in several fans' lives, including one of the security guards. From first concerts to first marriage, Say Anything made sure it was a night to remember. They started the night with “Belt” and “Woe” before jumping into the album. We thought for sure they were going to play their newest song, “On Cum,” but they stayed true to the original set plan.

Beloved rock band Say Anything has announced a 20th anniversary tour celebrating the release of their heralded debut album, Is a Real Boy, kicking off April 27, 2024 in Dallas, Texas and running through June 28, 2024 in Austin, Texas

Is a Real Boy is one of the most acclaimed albums of the 2000s, essential to most every teenage, tweenage and twenty-something of the era, and a foundational record for the reemergent pop-punk and emo music scene. Vulture included “Alive With the Glory of Love” from Is a Real Boy in their ‘100 Greatest Emo Songs of All Time’, while Variety included “Admit It” in their ‘25 Best Emo Songs Of All Time’ column, just last year. Buzzfeed put the album in their ‘36 Pop Punk Albums You Need To Hear Before You F**king Die’.

The celebration of Is a Real Boy comes on the heels of a resurgent 2023 for Say Anything, who after a three year hiatus reunited, returned to the stage, released a series of singles, including “Psyche!,” “Are You (In) There?,” and with the latest, “Carrie & Lowell & Cody (Pendent)” in October, announced the title for their upcoming album, …Is Committed, along with its track-listing. …Is Committed sees the group’s architect and frontman Max Bemis reuniting with producer Brad Wood (Sunny Day Real Estate, Mewithoutyou), who previously produced the band’s seminal 2007 double album …In Defense of the Genre.
