#Flashback: We danced it out to Sonic Lunch's Disco Party launch day

We spent the night dancing on the streets of Ann Arbor for the kick-off of the Sonic Lunch concert series. Which starts now for the month of August. The night was filled with music from Ross Federman of Tally Hall (with one of their songs “Bidding” blew up a while ago on Tiktok) and Michael Dykehouse

The event started at seven and didn’t end until a little after eleven. With music, bubbles, and even a bachelorette party it was going to just the right amount of energy needed for the city to wake up from its slumber. The variety of ages at this event was insane. From kids to Seniors, there was a spot for everyone to dance.

Ross controlled the first half of the show, with the classics spun via two reel to reel record tape players. When we say classic, we meant it. Variety of Motown favorites and even a random Cantina moment for added spice. The second half of the show was all Michael Dykehouse bringing us back up to the current hits with a few savory touches.

Like we mention earlier, this was the kick-off to the summer music series this month. We will be attending all of the Sonic Lunches to cover the series as we start to get back into the world of live music again (It’s here, can you hear it?). If you want to see the lineup and what days when they will be here. Click the button, to our past article about the lineup.
