#wewatched Dean Lewis's Live and Unplugged

We got the chance to catch Dean Lewis's live stream last night. It was a wonderful experience pair with a glass of wine. Round table style of show with the whole band in an almost circle style set up. The stage adorns with Edison tube bulbs and candles throughout the room as everyone walks to their space. We tried our best to give you guys a look at what the setup looked like but I don’t have the best internet. During the live stream performance, there were intermittent black and white clips of behind-the-scenes. In which, Dean spoke about the touring process, creating new music, and the whole idea process of doing this kind of intimate performance.

It was a nice moment hearing the personal stories about his life and how they ended up in the lyrics we hear today. From a relationship to watching Nashville and the Notebook, it was defiantly a treat to hear. Dean performed two covers one of which had been accused as one of his own, which was Adore by Amy Shark when it was featured in one of his eps. The other was Iris by the GooGoo Dolls. He chose that cover in due part of his last tour where he opened for the GooGoo Dolls and Rob Thomas.

His last song (Falling Up) was coming off the new album in which he is currently finishing up. We spoke about it in our previous article about him (which you can find here). After the live stream, fans got a real treat if you stuck around. There was a 15-20 minute afterparty in which Dean read a few questions that fans submitted. It was a delight to hear some of his responses including a longer tour to allow a chance to explore the city to hear about his previous job in which he was a sound guy for commercials.
