Mini Mansions are the type of gang whose charm lies in their individual idiosyncrasies. A trio of partners-in-crime, best friends and brothers in all but blood, Michael Shuman, Zach Dawes and Tyler Parkford’s unique personalities are reflected in their third forthcoming album Guy Walks Into A Bar

After checking out their show at the Loving Touch a month ago (which you can check out right here.) We stumbled upon a jukebox filled with their new songs off their latest album that is set to come out on every platform both physical and digital next Friday. Let’s talk about this jukebox with some of our favorites.

Bad Things (That Make You Feel Good)

Bad Things, which was the first release off their new album has already set a present of keeping our feet moving with strong chord progression. “I hear the music and it makes me want to get up and shake”. The pulse of the beat is hard not to find your pulse matching to it’s addictive melody. If you are not shaking, than what are you doing wrong? A instant favorite to hear live.

GummyBear

A playful revenge song, that is almost hard not to sing along to. It’s no wonder that the show off this song first to everyone in the friends group before we got to hear it.

Don’t Even Know You

A lovely ballad with an ominous waiting room vibe, as you can’t help to think of past relationships. It’s soft playful tones of depth lingers around well after you listen to it. This song is actually one of our favorites to hit repeat on this jukebox.

Hey Lover (Feat. Alison Mosshart)

We had the chance to hear this song live and cannot recommend it enough to hear live. We may have not have the pleasure on hearing it with Alison of The Kills performed it but Tyler Parkford (Keyboardist) does the job well. This song is a fun duet of back and forth conversation of dying love.

Guy walks into a bar, is a fun hypnotic album putting you through a trance like state of lovers remorse and good friend. With all three of them in so many pots of honey (Micheal with Queen of the Stone Age, Zach with the Last of the Shadow Puppets, and Tyler with the Arctic Monkeys, you can’t help to feel that their collaboration influences the mead brew they make together in this brewery that is this album. The album which is describe by Micheal Shuman with a different idea at first. “It started off as a joke because it is a joke,” says Shuman of the title. “It’s a way to start off the story of a relationship that ends up getting much deeper.” It’s almost a tale we all have been through at some point in our lives, and we weren’t alone on this idea. “The record became something else that you could give to anyone and ask: Did this happen to you?” Shuman says. “Most people have the story I had. It’s nothing new. But it’s very special, and I hope everyone sees that we’re trying to be vulnerable on this record.

The Album is set to release everywhere on July 26th, You can save and preorder with this link here
