Today, Perry Farrell released his first new album in over a decade, Kind Heaven, on BMG. The record, co-produced by Farrell and Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti, features contributions from Dhani HarrisonElliot Easton (The Cars), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Etty Lau Farrell, and more, along with Hollywood composer Harry Gregson-Williams. You can hear Farrell chat about the new album and much, much more on yesterday’s episode of WTF with Marc Maron. Listen to the episode HERE. Kind Heaven is available to buy/stream HERE.

Farrell will bring a one-of-kind immersive experience to NYC’s City Winery tonight, as he kicks off his world tour with his collaborative musical venture the Kind Heaven Orchestra. Farrell continues his tradition of creating signature spectacles by teaming up with The Box and City Winery in New York, London, Boston, Washington and other cities. Farrell and The Kind Heaven Orchestra have also been announced as part of the lineup for this year’s Lollapaloozas in Chicago, Stockholm, and Paris. Further dates in a variety of exotic locations will be announced shortly. Tickets for Perry Farrell’s Kind Heaven Orchestra world tour are on sale now HERE and include a digital download of the album. Tour description and dates to your left.

Prior to today’s release, Farrell shared two album tracks, the electro-rock composition “Machine Girl” featuring the vocals of Etty Lau Farrell that tells the story of a modern day love affair, and “Pirate Punk Politician” which he called a “good old fashioned protest song about today’s strongmen and their tactics of oppression.” The video for the single was directed by ground-breaking artists ‘Mortis'. Watch the video HERE.

Perry Farrell’s role in paving the way for the ascendance of alternative music can’t be overstated. As both the frontman of the acclaimed rock quartet Jane’s Addiction and the founder of Lollapalooza, Farrell blurred the lines between underground and mainstream while also leaving an indelible imprint on the music festival landscape. If you take the eclectic lineups of modern-day festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo for granted, you have Farrell to thank.”
